Wednesday, June 17th, 2009 The is no limit to the number of supplies and accessories you can get for your wedding, and many of them are wonderful. There is even an abundance of suggestions for all types of weddings these days too, from themed seasonal to fairytale, and ethnic to a country hoedown style. Today, there really are no limits to what you can do for your wedding day. For their wedding day, a man and his beautiful bride have a ton of choices. Destination weddings and honeymoons are quite popular. But, no matter what theme or style wedding and reception you are planning, you still need wedding accessories and reception supplies. I chose to go on the web and search out all the decorations, gifts and other accessories I needed for our wedding day. I saved money by not limiting myself exclusively to the bridal stores in the area, and it saved me some headaches, too. I was able to get everything from our wedding invitations to our beautifully elegant personalized glass wedding favors.
For a surprisingly low price, I picked up a matching set with a garter for the wedding, a basket for the flower girl, a pillow for the ring bearer, and a sign in book and pen for the guests. There were plenty of ceremony accessories, including lovely tiaras and wedding combs to choose from too. I also bought the reception supplies and decorations online and all I had to do was sit and wait for delivery. Talk about saving from aggravation – and saving money, too, actually, since I got some great deals. Two miniature people that were spitting images of my fiance and I were made special just for us as a wedding cake topper. That may be my favorite souvenier from the entire day, and it looked so cool. I also ordered a beautiful cake serving set with crystal handles and champagne toasting flutes that had bride and groom printed on them. We picked out champagne glass wedding favors as an added thank you for our family and good friends. Each of the women at our wedding got crystal wedding favors, and each of the men who were our guests got shot glass wedding favors. The crystal favor I found for the ladies were lovely crystal perfume bottles that were attached to a keychain and you can carry your favorite fragrance around with you everywhere you go. That was something that I figured they’d really appreciate. They arrive in small silver containers with matching hang tags and a bow. The place card holders for the reception were attractive and unusual as well. They were made of glass and the form of a bunch of grapes, and in the middle was a place for the card to sit. They made the tables at the reception sparkle.
I’m glad we decided to go with crystal wedding favors and glass favors for our friends and familys’ thank you gifts. They really were spectacular to look at and made the décor of our reception tables even more exquisite. I’m throwing a baby shower for my sister next month and I think I should probably pick up some more crystal favors for prizes. They have some adorable little baby oriented party favors in crystal and glass both.
Beautiful Hearts Wedding Favors!
Saturday, June 13th, 2009 Is there any more effective way to express your love than to get married with a wedding ceremony in the same month as Valentine’s Day? Putting the symbol of love all around our wedding day struck me as a wonderful way to celebrate marriage. The first thing I bought was a gorgeous bridal tiara that I picked out over the Internet. There were many wonderful decorations and supplies to choose from, such as the invitations I bought. I mailed out small cards that had two silver-colored hearts on the front of them for our invitations. The only thing I really had to do was write in the information, like the place and the date, and the rest was already filled out in beautiful calligraphy when we got them.
When the invitations were completed, I had to go forward with putting together the exact products that I would use. I bought large scarlet bows made of velvet to put on the church pews with a ribbon that would run from one pew to the next. The altar was beautifully decorated, with wonderful candle holders and candles, including our unity candle which was adorned with a heart made of red roses. There were also red and pink roses to help with the décor of the wedding site and red and white roses in my bridal bouquet. I even went as far as to have caged doves to be released as we exited the church.
The wedding apparel that would be worn by those who were going to be in the wedding had already been selected. As a flower girl basket, I decided to go with a gorgeous white satin with lovely lace and satin bows on each side. The rings also had a white satin ribbon on them, with a white pillow that had a gold double hearts wedding insignia on it for our ring bearer. My bridal tiara was a pretty good match for the one that I picked out for the flower girl to wear in the ceremony. She wore a pretty pink dress, made for a flower girl, and she did such a wonderful job as a flower girl and looked so brilliant that I thought she did look like royalty. So did the ring boy, he was quite elegant in his little tuxedo with a red boutonniere in his lapel. He did his job of taking care of the rings marvelously, and he was in perfect harmony with the rest of the wedding ceremony. They both made me very proud.
Our tables looked so elegant and they were decorated in the perfect hearts wedding style with flowers, hearts and beautiful little votive candles to add a touch of romance to the atmosphere.The centerpieces we made up were exquisitely done with flowers and little cupids mixed throughout. The placecard holders were little silver hearts with matching placecards and as a thank you for coming to our wedding and reception, each guest received an adorable little wedding favor heart gift that makes a wonderful keepsake of the most important day of our lives that they took the time to share with us. One of the ladies at our reception told me that she has been to themed heart weddings before, but this was the best one she has been to so far.
Everything at our wedding and reception was the perfect picture of a true valentines day wedding with all the hearts and flowers imaginable. I’m just glad I had the internet to turn to, it made everything so much easier.
Bridal Fashion and Accessories!
Thursday, June 4th, 2009As soon as we set our wedding date, I got busy with my planning and shopping for everything I needed. I’m an online shopaholic, so, my first course of action was to hit the web. I’m glad I did too, with all they had to offer there was no problem finding everything I needed to plan the perfect wedding and reception. From invitations to fantastic wedding favors gifts for our guests, they had it all.
To start with we decided that we wanted to have a theme wedding and we agreed to make it a beach themed wedding and reception. We’ve always lived near the water, even as kids and it has been a favorite place of ours and our friends for years.
So now the type of wedding we were having was decided and the invitations for our beach wedding was sent out and next came shopping for my bridal accessories, reception supplies and decorations. There was quite a lot of wonderful bridal fashion suggestion online too and so many great deals on accessories for the ceremony and the bride. There were lovely lacy bridal handkerchiefs that were such a perfect match for my gown, and I also found the most gorgeous tiara for my wedding veil. You should see all the fantastic bridal hair accessories they have to offer. I was really surprised, and I’m no novice when it comes to online shopping. There were even five to eight piece wedding accessory sets that you could buy a one low cost. That’s a real savings.
Great selection and the low cost really made this shopping worth while. I also bought a few items I can use while on our honeymoon. A short wedding dress would have probably been the wiser choice, since we were getting married on the beach, but I had to have my full length dress. My bridesmaids wore a light weight satin dress for my wedding and so did my little flower girl. They were all so elegant, they could have been on the cover of a bridal magazine.
Our reception tables were all set up on the beach with tiki torches scattered all around and lights strung up by the make shift dance floor we had. On the reception tables there were seashells and starfish scattered about and place card holders that were adorable little sailboats. As wedding favors I wanted to give them something special from the seaside collection, so I chose the beach themed photo frames for each of them. Everyone seemed to like the gifts they received.
Our wedding table was beautifully set with beach themed champagne flutes, little beach tealights and lovely beach themed candles and holders. Our wedding cake topper was especially designed for a beach wedding just as all our other accessories for our reception. A man and woman taking a casual walk on the shore was the wedding cake topper I chose for our reception. I’m so glad they had all the supplies and bridal accessories we needed to plan the perfect beach wedding and reception. For those that weren’t into seafood, we made sure we had plenty of steaks and chicken for them. We danced to some really great tunes and enjoyed the fantastic foods that were prepared and just had one heck of a beach party. If it wasn’t for going on our honeymoon, I never would have left our terrific beach party.
After we returned from our honeymoon, I had to get down to writing all the thank you notes to our guests. My beach themed picture album has all the memories within its beautiful covers for me to enjoy anytime I want to look back on our special beach wedding and reception.
