Elegant Theme Wedding Cakes For Your Wedding!

Friday, December 4th, 2009

I love attending a theme wedding. They can be so much fun. I just went to one of the best weddings and receptions I’ve ever attended. The ceremony and reception was done in country western.
The ceremony took place in a small country church. It was really quite lovely with lots of flowers and candles around the altar, and satin bows and ribbons connected at the end of the pews. The baby blue dresses that the bridesmaids and flower girl wore were simply gorgeous, and the flowered hair pieces were a lovely added touch. The groomsmen and ring boy looked quite handsome in their tuxes with little white boutonnieres in their lapels. But the real attraction was the beautiful bride and her elegant groom. They were such a lovely couple. A horse drawn buggy awaited to take the bride and groom to the reception.
The couple had purchased a nice little ranch outside of town and that’s where they decided to have their reception. What a gorgeous place they had with a beautiful house and horse barn on two acres. I would have loved to have started my married life out in a place like this.
She did a fantastic job arranging her reception. It was spectacular. Wild flowers centered on each table really gave it that down home look. Her choice of wedding themes and country decorations was so fantastic. Around the reception tables it was lit up with lanterns and white christmas lights everywhere. With the décor consisting of hay bales and corn stalks on the barn doors, this really gave the perfect appearance of a country reception. There were so much set up for adults and kids to enjoy. There were horse shoes, bobbing for apples, and barn dancing. It was great fun for everyone.
They had a gorgeous cake with a funny country western cake topper that gave everyone a good laugh. It was the perfect novelty topper. They even had country themed champagne flutes for the bridal toast. There were also adorable little cowboy hats were the place card holders for every guest. I thought that was very creative.
The food they chose for the reception was unbelievable. Since this was more like a country barbecue, there was plenty choices of meats, salads and vegetables. There was plenty of great food to choose from. Lots of music, dancing, games and food to last all evening. We all had a wonderful time at the country western themed party.
There was another themed reception I went to that was also a lot of fun, it was a beach themed reception. There is nothing more beautiful than a beach wedding ceremony. It’s so romantic with the sunset above the ocean. It’s like a romantic novel with the crashing of waves and the warm gentle breeze all around you. On my wedding day, I want to have a wedding ceremony just like this one.
The bridesmaids wore gorgeous summer dresses and the groomsmen wore drawstring pants and linen shirts. The bride wore a beautiful crepe dress that seemed to match the blue of the ocean, and the groom looked so handsome in his white linen beach attire. This was definitely a dream come true wedding ceremony.
Their reception was more than elegant too. The reception tables were decorated with gorgeous beach themed accessories. The centerpieces were little trays filled with sand and two large pillar candles with seashells, starfish and orchids all around them. Each and every guest had adorable little seashell place card holders, and champagne glasses with beach themed decorations on the stems.
Her beach décor was fabulous and she had everything from a beach cake topper to theme wedding decorations that worked perfectly. This was one of the most memorable weddings I’ve ever attended.

Elegant Theme Wedding Favors For Your Wedding!

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

A theme wedding is my favorite. They can really be a blast. Last weekend I went to a fantastic wedding and reception. It was all done in a country western motif.
A quaint little country church was the location of the wedding ceremony. The church was beautifully decorated with satin ribbon and bows, flowers and candles. With the flowered hair pieces and the lovely baby blue dresses the bridesmaids and flower girl looked spectacular. The tuxes with the white boutonnieres in the lapels made the groomsmen and the little ring boy looked quite handsome. But the real attraction was the beautiful bride and her elegant groom. They were a picure perfect couple. A horse drawn buggy awaited to take the bride and groom to the reception.
Since they chose a ranch to buy as their first home, they thought that would be the perfect place to hold the reception. This was a prime piece of property, with a nice house, a barn and two acres of land. I hate to admit it, but I’m a little jealous of all they have accomplished just starting out.
You could tell at one glance how hard she worked at setting this reception in motion. It was spectacular. All the tables had red and white checkered table cloths, with little metal buckets of wildflowers in them. She did a fantastic job, not just with the décor, but also the themed wedding favors. White christmas lights mixed in with a few lanterns completely encircled the picnic tables. With the décor consisting of hay bales and corn stalks on the barn doors, this really gave the perfect appearance of a country reception. There were so much set up for adults and kids to enjoy. My husband and I did a little dancing while some played horse shoes or gave apple bobbing a try. Everyone was having the time of their lives.
The wedding cake was spectacular and the wedding topper had us all in stitches. It was the perfect themed cake topper. I wish I knew where she got those adorable country themed champagne flutes. And on each and every table she had little cowboy hats that were used as place card holders. Everyone thought they were so cute.
The food they chose for the reception was unbelievable. Since they did a lot of grilling, we had our choice of steaks, ribs, and chicken, plus all kinds of salads and vegetables. There was more than enough to eat. Lots of music, dancing, games and food to last all evening. It was a great country western themed reception.
A beach themed reception is another great party to go to. A beach wedding ceremony is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. You can feel the romance in the air as the sun sets on the horizon. The warm breeze and the sound of the waves simply adds to the ambiance of the ceremony. On my wedding day, I want to have a wedding ceremony just like this one.
It was such a relaxed ceremony, with all wedding party and beautiful summer dresses and beach wear. Her gorgeous crepe bridal dress was as blue as the ocean waters, and his white linen attire made him even more handsome than he already was. The whole ceremony was absolute perfection, just like dream.
The reception was something special too. Everything for her table décor had something to do with the oceanside. The centerpieces were little trays filled with sand and two large pillar candles with seashells, starfish and orchids all around them. She had the most adorable sea shell place card holders and beautiful beach themed champagne glasses on all her tables.
She had everything in a beautiful beach décor, from her wedding cake topper to the wonderful theme wedding favors she had put together. This was a ceremony and reception I will never forget.

Choosing a summer wedding theme!

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

I didn’t have as many problems planning an outside wedding as I thought I would. It wasn’t as expensive as an indoor wedding would have been. Having the natural beauty of the outdoors saved us a lot of money on decorations. The first thing on my agenda was to find that perfect place to hold our summer wedding and reception party. Instead of having our wedding ceremony and reception on the beach or in a garden, I chose to have it in the park. I found several perfect parks that would work fine for our wedding day.

Since I never planned a wedding like this before, I needed all the help I could get. When you plan to be married in the great outdoors, it seems you have to have a backup plan just in case the weather turns from sunny to pouring buckets. A tent was suggested just in case the weather turns out badly.

Plan “A” was setting up a gorgeous trellis for our ceremony to be performed under and canopies for the reception. The only real decorations I needed were those for my wedding table and the guests reception tables. With the beautiful background of the park as our main décor, all I really needed besides table settings were a few extra flowers here and there. By using artificial flowers I thought we may be able to avoid any univited guests, like bees. The only way you could tell that the flowers were artificial, was by touch, they were beautiful. Planning this wedding wasn’t all that hard, but there was a little more than I expected. You have to make sure your cake is safe from the summer sun, make sure you have citronella candles at your reception and that your tent has nearby rest room areas. [As centerpieces for our reception tables I used citronella votive candles and place them in glass globes with flowers around them, and used park bench place card holders for each guest. The chrome bottle openers we bought for our guests were packaged in beautiful favors boxes and given out as a summer wedding invitation. The most beautiful part of our wedding table was our cake with it’s gorgeous wedding cake topper.

While shopping for my wedding accessories I saw this topper and couldn’t resist it. They were especially customized for the bride and groom. After I sent them a head shot of my fiance and myself they made our bride and groom topper to look exactly like us. Talk about the best wedding keepsake you can get. Everyone at the reception had something to say about how unique it was. Everything I ordered for our ceremony and reception was the best in wedding accessories, especially our crystal champagne flutes and silver cake serving set. It was amazing all the super accessories you can buy online.

Everything at the wedding and reception were fantastic. Thank goodness the weather stayed perfect throughout the entire ceremony and reception and we never had to put plan B into action. We had a wonderful DJ that I’m sure, kept the music going long after we left for our honeymoon. Everyone commented on what a lovely ceremony and super reception we had. I’m so glad I decided to go with a wedding in the park. I’d love to do this again and have a wedding renewal in the park, maybe for an anniversary, someday.

Choosing the Right leather wedding album!

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

After it was decided that we were going to have a beach wedding, I went shopping for accessories and supplies with a beach theme in mind. The first thing to get was the invitations for our beach themed wedding. I made sure I had plenty of extra invitations, just in case I had to rewrite some of them, and it’s a good thing I did. After I got the invitations out of the way, my next step was finding the right dress for a beach wedding. With all the selections of beautiful beach dresses and wedding gowns, I had a difficult time deciding what I wanted to wear. The full length bridal gowns were so beautiful, but I was afraid they may be too uncomfortable for a beach wedding. I picked out a gorgeous spaghetti strapped dress made of satin and lace with beautiful little beads scattered around it, in a knee length.

The bridesmaids wore lovely little linen halter beach dresses with a crocheted bodice covering. My handsome groom wore a sky blue linen shirt and white linen pants and his groomsmen wore white linen shirts with sand colored linen pants. The little ring boy wore a white cotton shirt and khaki shorts, and our flower girl was so cute in a light fabric sundress. I found the most lovely flower bouquets for the bridesmaids and myself, and the entire wedding party looked absolutely perfect.

I kept thinking how I should have bought two albums for wedding, because I wanted lots of pictures of our wonderful beach wedding and reception. I want pictures of everything and everyone at our wedding, all the gorgeous decorations, and our lovely reception. I was sure to let the photographer know I wanted plenty of photos of our vow exchange under our satin canopy and lovely flowered arch. Directly after the ceremony we left to change into more suitable beach wear for the reception party. Some of the bridesmaids and groomsmen wore their swim wear under their wedding clothes, and some went home to change. We told all of our guests to dress casually.

Our reception was such a big success, and everyone complimented us on our gorgeous wedding accessories and how lovely all of our tables were. I bought everything for our tables at the same place I bought our lovely beach themed wedding album. The place card holders I chose were these miniature beach chairs that can later be used as photo frames. The guests seemed to like them, and I thought they were just adorable. I also found the perfect beach wedding favors for our friends and family. I chose adorable tea lights that looked just like sand castles to remind them of our beach party. I found everything we needed, as far as accessories and decorations, for our wedding table and our guests reception tables. Not only did I find the perfect wedding cake topper, but I also bought their beach themed crystal flutes, wine glasses, cake serving set and so much more.

Some of the guests were commenting on the gorgeous décor of our reception tables. I added some tiki torches everywhere and put gel candles on all of our guests wedding reception tables to help add a touch of atmosphere to everything. Planning this beach wedding and reception was a lot easier than I thought it would be, with all the accessories and supplies they had. It couldn’t have been a more perfect dream wedding and reception, with the gorgeous ocean as our background and the warm sand under our feet.

Now I sit here and relive that wonderful day by enjoying all the photos I have in our beautiful beach leather wedding photo album.

Finding Great Leather Wedding Albums for a Wedding!

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

Once we decided on a beach wedding, I started looking for all my accessories and supplies they had in a beach motif. I started with our beach themed wedding invitations. One thing I discovered was to be sure you always buy extra invitations, just in case you make a mistake and have yourself a do over, like I did. With the invitations all done and on their way to our prospective guests, I could move on to picking out the beach wedding dress I wanted for our ceremony. With all the selections of beautiful beach dresses and wedding gowns, I had a difficult time deciding what I wanted to wear. I fell in love with two of the floor length gowns, but wasn’t quite sure if it would be uncomfortable to wear to a beach wedding. So, even though I loved the gowns, I chose a lightweight knee length beaded satin dress with a gorgeous lace covering and spaghetti straps.

All of the wedding party looked great in their wedding attire and the flower arrangements for our bouquets were the most gorgeous I’ve ever seen.

I kept thinking how I should have bought two albums for wedding, because I wanted lots of pictures of our wonderful beach wedding and reception. I planned to have pictures of all the fantastic decorations at our wedding and reception and photos of every guest that attended. Pictures of our satin canopy and flowered arch where we stood to take our vows was a definite must. After we were pronounced husband and wife, we left for the hotel to change from our wedding attire to our beach attire. Some of the bridesmaids and groomsmen wore their swim wear under their wedding clothes, and some went home to change. I wrote on all the invitations to dress in casual clothing for this wedding.

Our reception was such a big success, and everyone complimented us on our gorgeous wedding accessories and how lovely all of our tables were. There were so many other beach themed accessories to choose from, along with our gorgeous wedding album. The place card holders I chose were these miniature beach chairs that can later be used as photo frames. I really liked them and I’m sure our guests did too. I also found the perfect beach wedding favors for our friends and family. I chose adorable tea lights that looked just like sand castles to remind them of our beach party. There was so many terrific accessories and beach décor for our reception tables and our wedding table. I not only bought our beach themed wedding cake topper there, but also the cake knife server set, beautiful crystal champagne glasses and lovely wine glasses too.

A lot of our friends and family made comments about out lovely reception décor. To help add to the atmosphere, I also bought some of their beautiful gel candles and placed them on all the tables, along with a few tiki torches here and there. Planning this beach wedding and reception was a lot easier than I thought it would be, with all the accessories and supplies they had. Everything was like a dream come true, with the beautiful ocean waves and the warm summer sands as our wedding chapel and reception location.

Every once in a while I take out our beach themed leather wedding album and remember our special day.

I’m in love with these new favors!

Its been many years since my wedding and I can’t believe how much everything has changed for the better, including the decorations. I found so many different decorations and every kind of embellishment you could think of on the internet. There were plenty of suggestions for beach weddings that I thought were very nice with little seashells, starfish and other oceanside designs. There were also some pretty clever ideas for garden and other summer and spring weddings and receptions. I found very exceptional new wedding selections for seasonal ceremonies. I know the winter wonderland wedding supplies were absolutely exquisite with that gorgeous sparkle of the winter season. Did you know that some couples actually have a winter wedding outside? To me having a wedding in the winter outside would be a beautiful site to see and yet a little way out of the norm. I think I would be just fine with an indoor winter wedding and reception. The best place for a winter wedding would be in a setting with a warm cozy fire and warm atmosphere.

An autumn wedding is so gorgeous and one of my favorite seasons, and has lot to offer in wedding accessories and reception supplies. With all the gorgeous colors and the pumpkins, gourds and just the fresh clean smell in the air, the fall season seems to me to be the best season for a wedding. When I got married, a long, long time ago, about the only options we had, was the traditional wedding, a justice of the peace or elopement. Now there are so many different types of weddings you can really have your ceremony exactly the way you want to. I’ve heard of weddings where the location is out of state or even the country and all the friends and famliy fly to that location to have the wedding ceremony. Everybody probably feels like they’re eploping too. You can choose from a terrific new favor selection – they have everything from old style weddings to long distance weddings.

In a few months my daughter will be married and I offered to help her plan her wedding and she decided to have a country western wedding. When she told me her idea for the wedding, I thought oh boy this is going to be one weird wedding, but as we were planning it I saw how awesome it was going to be. She ordered all the decorations in a western style decor. They’re really quite unique looking. To make the atmosphere more western she put some hay bales, set up barbecue grills around and even hired a country western band. For the reception, she is going to put lights and lanterns all over. She bought cute little cowboy hats to use as place card holders and added wildflowers in little watering cans as the centerpieces. They’ve arranged to rent a dude ranch for this event, which really surprised me, because, I didn’t know you could even do that. She purchased many wedding and reception embellishments on the internet and they went with the country western style. She ordered delightful new favors for all their friends and family and cowboy hats for the bride and groom.

Instead of a normal reception it is looking more like a family get together that has hayrides and outdoor grills. Which when I think of it, sounds like a pretty good time for all. I was surprised to hear that they are going to have a barn dance in a good ole country western style. Now that I knew what to expect I decided to get all the western gear, like blue jeans, cowboy boots, and cowboy hats so I can participate in all the fun. Everybody will always remember this wedding. Thanks to my daughters great country themed wedding, she’s given me a great idea for our anniversary.

Choosing a summer wedding invitation!

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

It was a lot easier than I thought it would be to plan my outside wedding and reception. In fact, it didn’t cost as much as an indoor wedding would have cost us. Since we had the flowers and mother nature everywhere, I didn’t have to spend a lot of money on decorations. I checked out a lot of places to have our summer wedding and reception. Instead of having our wedding ceremony and reception on the beach or in a garden, I chose to have it in the park. I was surprised at all the parks available for weddings.

I wasn’t really sure where to start, so I shopped around for some much needed suggestions. If you’re going to have your ceremony outside, it’s a good idea to have an alternative plan just in case the weather turns on you. It’s a good idea to have a tent ready to continue your ceremony if it becomes necessary.

In our original wedding preparations, we had a lovely canopy set up for the reception and a lovely trellis for our ceremony. I only had to get decorations for my bridal table and the reception tables for our friends and family. With the park as our main theme, I basically had to make sure I had our table settings and maybe throw in a few extra bouquets of flowers. I thought artificial flowers would be best, since we didn’t want a bee invasion ruining our ceremony. You couldn’t tell they were artificial they were so beautiful, they looked like the real deal. Although planning wasn’t as difficult a chore as I thought, there were quite a few things to take care of. Like, making sure there were citronella candles all around, rest rooms close by and making sure our cake was kept cool until ready to be cut.

As far as table décor, I found so many fantastic accessories for our reception. Each of our guest had a park bench place card holder and the centerpieces were flowers arranged around a glass globe with citronella votive candles inside. For each of our guests there were beautiful chrome bottle openers in lovely designed favor boxes, as a summer wedding theme. One of the most decorative things on our wedding table was our gorgeous wedding cake with the beautiful cake topper I ordered.

While shopping for my wedding accessories I saw this topper and couldn’t resist it. They do customizing for the bride and groom. All I had to do was send in a head shot picture of me and my fiance and they custom made a bride and groom cake topper with our faces. What a wonderful momento of our wedding day. Our friends and family were really loved the cake topper and gave us a lot of compliments on it. Everything I ordered for our ceremony and reception was the best in wedding accessories, especially our crystal champagne flutes and silver cake serving set. You wouldn’t believe all the nice accessories you can buy online.

It was the perfect wedding and reception, just like I had hoped for. Plan B never had to be used, since the weather was so beautiful, and thankfully it remained that way through the whole evening. We all loved the super DJ and the fantastic job he was doing, and if I’m right, he probably kept the music and dancing going on for quite a while after we left to go on our honeymoon. Everyone commented on what a lovely ceremony and super reception we had. I couldn’t have picked a better place than the park for our wedding ceremony and reception party. If we celebrate one of our anniversaries with a wedding renewal, I want to have it in a gorgeous park again.

An Outstanding Birthday Party Invitation!

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

The first thing I did when I decided to give my girlfriend a bridal shower was to put together a list of everything I was going to need for thte shower. At the top of the list was getting a engagement party invitation. I checked out what the Internet had to offer because I don’t really like the hassle of shopping from store to store. Boy, did I luck out in that department. The prices and selection were both better than I expected. Some of the deals were just incredible. The shower invitations were very high quality with pearl edges and silver writing. They had all kinds of invitation cards, from general party invitations to specific ones, like birthday party invitations.
I found some darling place card holders for the party as well, among other things. One of the things I found was a little bridal guest book for everyone to sign and for the bride, to be, to keep a record of every gift she received. One style of place card holders caught my fancy. They had these little plastic handbags that I filled with colorful little candies and found place cards with pink lilies printed on them. They looked so nice on the party tables along with the decorations and party favors I chose for everyone. You should see all the cute litte favor boxes you can get for just about any ocassion you are planning on celebrating. Flower decorations were on the containers I picked out, and I put them all on a serving dish on the table that held the gifts. It was a good-looking way to set it up, and everyone there just came by and grabbed a gift. I picked out a few kinckknacks as awards for winning the bridal shower activities we were going to play, and the thank you presents were sets that had everything you’d need to give a manicure. Some of the other odds and ends I used for door prizes were adorable little bath soaps, make-up mirrors, and novelty keychains.
I went online and got some great game ideas for the party too. In the the game ‘Take It Off,’ each person put a bag over their head and they have to take off one piece of clothing when the leader of the game tells them to, and it doesn’t occur to all of the women to take of the bag; it’s very amusing to watch. It’s comical to watch that game unfold, and it’s a good way to see just how smart your friends are. There are other mirthful games that we did, like bridal bingo. Deciding to surf the web was an excellent thing to do since I saw all kinds of things I could use and a good portion of them were very affordable. I know I got a super deal on the favors and invitations I picked out. The things I purchased were well made, and I spent a lot whole less than I thought I would have to, and had a whole lot more choices. This site I found also has wedding invitations and favors, so I made it a point to inform my friend who was getting married about it, since I was sure she would want to know about this place. She’ll have a lot of options when she uses this site, and it will save her a pretty penny, which all newlyweds need. The shower was a hit because of them, I know that much. The attendees all adored their presents and had a wonderful time. The people who took the time to go to the shower will all get thank you cards, which I’m working on now. Naturally, I bought the cards for thank yous over the Intenet as well. Now I have to go back online because I’m helping my friend plan her sons’ birthday party and they have quite a bit to offer there too.
