Medical schools do not have a large number of students, and the numbers are not much changed from year to year. In 2024, total 97,869 students enrolled in medical schools in United States. Among them, 44,423 students (45.39%) are male and 53,308 (54.47%) are female students.

The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine has the least number of students of 40. Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science and New York University Long Island School of Medicine follow it with 60 and 74 respectively.
